The world is overrun with l4d2 style zombies, and you’re steampunk larpers trying to reclaim territory. You got girthy bois to deal with, you got egirl clawed witches, spitters, the whole nine yards.
Start with a few tents and troops and expand where you can, but zombies quickly start picking up on where you are based on sounds and it becomes a fricky-wucky back and forth of trying to play a city builder while also not letting the zombs get past your walls.
Then, an hour in and you’re sending a deathball of upgraded archers into an infected village to clear it and stop it from constantly leaking bads at you and forget to pay attention to the farmlands on the other side of the map that a single zombie slips into between your troop patrols, and you get a good multi-minute gg sequence as all your buildings get surrounded by and then explode into a swarm of more zombies as you realize your un-upgraded security gates within your main walls are actually shit-butt.
The amount of zombies that can be on the screen is one of the selling points, hordes and waves look very neat when there’s literally thousands piling up against your walls.
It’s a really fun little set up a survival scenario and play it out type of thing with procedural maps.
There IS a campaign now, but.. eh. I think the majority of people who have thousands of hours on TAB put in those hours before campaign was even released.
If you play city builders in any capacity and don’t try this game out even as a try-before-you-buy torrent, you’re actually fricking brain dead. It’s great.

Darn, you're really mad over this, but thanks for the effort you put into typing that all out! Sadly I won't read it all.
