You can run ss13 but it is unplayable due to most of ui requiring a newer version of internet explorer than what you can run with wine on linux. So unfortunately you will have to continue to dual boot or use a VM or play SS14(it's native on linux)

The top comment is correct for the most part but it is possible to fully play any server that does not use TGUI. TGUI is the culprit behind most linux issues with ss13. The most popular server that does not use TGUI that I know of is Baystation and it runs exactly the same as it does on windows, everything working.

Probably, you just need to have BYOND installed.

When I was on a mac I used a windows xp virtual machine to play it. You can probably do the same.
