Not playing but I've been watching Combo Breaker 2023 all weekend, mostly the Mystery Tournament. It's extremely fetch, every cycle of matches is a completely new game, often a really busted 90s game; they often aren't even fighting games, there's a lot of weird stuff like 1 vs. 1 puzzle games. Everyone is just having fun and figuring crap out as they go, including the announcers, who also have no clue what's going on. Honestly one of the best tournament formats I've seen, I will definitely be watching some vods of past Mystery Tournaments from Combo Breaker and Frosty Faustings
