Been playing Crying Suns. This game feels like If FTL: Faster Than Light had listened to too much MCR in high school. It’s good, but you can see it’s maybe too inspired by other things, even if it’s fun. Also GDQ has been pretty bad. A few decent runs.

Open beta gwent was one of my favorite card games. By the end it was pretty close to a solved game though.

The levels are really well set up! Maze like but not in a way where you get lost easily. Instead it feels like every time you set foot in a new area you have to watch your back for enemies coming from who knows where.

Heck Let Loose. I'm in two minds about the new update- the movespeed is a bit fast but its soooo much smoother. There is basic historical shit wrong, like the dates being wrong on the new maps and the STG44 not being invented by the time El Alamein takes place. New maps are pretty cool though despite these issues.

Player numbers have never been better, in Australia peak hours there are always 3- 5 full 100 player servers. Cant speak for other regions. Player base is a mixed bag- everyone is nice, trolls are minimal, but competency varies; but when you find that squad of players who communicate and understand the meta
Overall worth it on a sale, and a blast playing all the different squads. Had an awesome game yesterday playing an Armour squad, using our heavy Tiger tank to obliterate a stubborn enemy team, shrugging off puny Sherman rounds and laying waste to infantry as we inched forward through a railyard, friendly infantry using our hull for cover as we wore down the Amerikaner and covering our backs from pesky rockets and satchel charges. Whole friendly team erupted in cheers when we obliterated 2 stubborn tanks and the enemy team collapsed, securing victory in the last 5 minutes. Great with strangers, best with grognard WW2 nerd friends. Really scratches that RO2 itch, and more. Other highlights include Aussie banter in proximity voice chat, infiltrating enemy lines as a sniper and spotter to cause havoc and frustration, and pulling off that perfect infantry assault by rushing a strong point with a squad load of grenades and grit.

Tried Greedfall. It gives me Risen vibes where the game has aspects I like but aspects I find annoying too and it's usually enough to kill my drive to keep playing. I like the idea and setting and system but the immersion is not there. Too many npcs bumble about too animatronically, very little world reaction and very dry dialogue.
Now playing System Shock. Am enjoying it. It's nice remembering some layouts, the amount is great. Move over dead space remake, a real space horror remake is here.

Tried this game Stardeus. It is kinda Rimworld but your guys are on the spaceship and can fly around. You are the uploaded-mind AI running the spaceship with human and robot units. You have very little control over the humans. Your spaceship starts out shattered into many pieces. In the screenshot I have winched the shattered sections clumsily back together (so my ship is lopsided) and have been flying around the solar system by cutting out chunks of my unoccupied hull to feed the fusion reactors. There's a small & filthy livable area in the back. Your AI core is the purple area kinda top right.
I would say it's very promising but it is definitely an earlier access. I ended up starting another Rimworld game instead. Stardeus needs a ton of filling out and fine tuning. I say wait for it to be more finished, hopefully it will be great when fleshed out.

Blight is just worse than fully kitted out Bone Spear. Vulnerable is a busted keyword, Bosses won’t stand in the goo and trash won’t live long enough for the goo to tick off.

Bone Spear seems the most reliable and the star for leveling after 15, but endgame builds are kind of varied, but all-in on a school, once the passives really get rolling.
