Weekly “What are you playing” thread #18

Beat Remnant: From the Ashes. That game is so fricking mid I an amazed anyone like sit. Seems like the lowest effort souls-like I have ever seen. I’m not sure I have anything positive to say about it besides “It was shorter than I thought it would be.”

Not-E3 kicked off this week. I found Summer Games Fest a bit underwhelming with a few good trailers. Microsoft featureinf Starfield on Sunday should at least be… unique.

It’s so fricking bad. Dungeons are constantly resused, enemies will pop out of thin air behind and in front of you (and you have x-ray vision so you can see it happening), the minimap needs an objective marker half the time, the decision to make shit only have a ‘chance’ of showing up in your campaign is the definition of artificial lengthening, like 50% of the bosses are just normal enemies with 300% health and damage, there is no reason to upgrade/switch off any of the starter gears ever, most bosses are only difficult because of the aforementioned enemy spawns, not the boss themselves. This game feels like it should have been $20 in 2015.
