UPDATE 3: Entries submissions close today in about 8 hours so this is your last chance to participate
UPDATE 2: contest ends tomorrow
UPDATE: reminder that the contest ends on Tuesday! I'll pin this again the day before the deadline as a last reminder
Inspired by this picture and seeing dramatards always seem very excited about sharing their cute pets with everyone I figured this would be a nice/fun activity
[RULES]
1. It has to be your pet
2. No AI, it would be too easy
3. You have to use an actual videogame screenshot taken by yourself or you can also google screenshots to use BUT it must be from the gameplay, not from cutscenes or cinematic trailers EDIT: by popular demand, cutscenes are allowed now!
5. If you're not good with Photoshop, you can commission/get another dramatard to do it
6. You can make as many entries as you want but only one can be on the voting poll
The winner will be decided by vote so if you have multiple entries you have to pick one to be used in the poll
[PRIZES]
1st Place: 5000 DC
2nd Place: 3000 DC
3rd Place: 2000 DC
Might increase the prizes if there's a lot of interest
DEADLINE: The contest will end on Tuesday, July 4
PLEASE REPLY HERE WITH YOUR ENTRY: https://rdrama.net/h/vidya/post/182848/contest-photoshop-your-pet-as-a/4455526#context
Not sure if those rules are alright, feel free to suggest how to improve or make the contest more fun
Here are some answers to questions you might have
Yes
For the sake of fairness I think it's better if only one of the owners is allowed to participate with that pet
As long as the pet is yours and the edit was done by you (or someone you commissioned/asked to edit for you) you can google screenshots of a game and use them, even if it's a game you don't play

i get the idea behind this but you should probably exempt cutscenes from it. afaik most games have a small boss cutscene where you can get a good look at it, while it's awkward to get good angles during gameplay, especially with larger bosses

My issue was more that cutscenes and such usually have improved graphics and better effects and overall they're more cinematic, so I thought that might give them an adventage over raw gameplay, at least for some games. The other reason was that I was hopping the screenshots would include game elements like hp bars or scores that are usually not present in cutscenes. I feel using cutscenes would make it look more like the pets were photoshoped into a movie instead of a game
But idk, maybe if some other dramatards feel like I should allow them I could reconsider. Imma pin your comment and add a poll
EDIT: Poll's closed, cutscenes are now allowed!

depends on the cutscene, a lot of cutscenes nowadays are rendered in-game
this is true, adding bars and shit is a nice and fun touch, but also makes it a bit harder, esp if you want to go the extra mile and add the name of your pet to the enemy health bar using the game's font.
