I wouldn't know what kind of monetization hooks they might attempt, but if you're talking about 'rift crystals', they're in the first game too. Primarily they're the currency you use to recruit pawns, but only pawns above your level. Pawns at or below your level didn't cost anything in DD1

But you are right about game running like shit. It has monster Hunter world engine a ps4 engine and game fps are all over the place but almost never hits 60 fps

Yeah, the sysreqs state 30fps for a 2080 and a GTX 1070 is the minimum. It's going to be... interesting
By comparison, you can easily run Elden Ring on high with a 1070 and get 60fps most of the time

I'm actually really excited for this month, Stardew Valley 1.6, Palia on Steam, Unicorn Overlord, Princess Peach: Showtime!, Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, Chill Town, Lightyear Frontier, and Zoo Simulator: Prologue all look interesting to me. April is also going to be packed, fingers crossed at least some of these games are good.
