Solas was a tragic romance, and it was all very non sexually explicit, which is maybe why so many women loved it. I know I liked it back in the day. Solas is no Alistair but he came in close.
Also the gay guy from inquisition was a good romance. Never bothered with the other ones.

Andromeda was depressing because the combat was objectively more fun than all three of the previous games. If the story had been on par with 1, 2 or even 3 it would've been fricking great--visual goofiness aside.

Hard disagree. Yeah the jet pack was really cool, and yeah switching out powers was nice, but the powers got dumbed down hard and so did squad mate commands. I don't think you could even really give them specific commands. It wasn't bad. It was still fun. But I liked ME3 combat better even if Andromeda did improve in areas.

It was like ME2 where the characters took prominence over the plot, but since the plot was more about a single town's crisis with the Arishok the narrative worked much better than in ME2.

but as the fricking journo propaganda ceased, and stats silenced the fricking loudest empty cans, so too did the fricking tourists. DA2 had the best approach to character relations in the whole series, with its friendship/rivalry system allowing for companions to be something more than protagonist peepeeriders. The smaller scale plot that wasn't about saving the world actually lead to a tight, compelling story. From a writing perspective DA2 was legitimately innovative, it's just that the actual gameplay sucked.
