Credit card vendors fricking hate porn sites of all kinds because neighbors who buy porn will often do chargebacks because they got caught by their partner/parents or because they spent too much in a cumbrained fugue state. What is up lately with all these coomers taking their nutting as a political stance. Now all of the sudden they're staunch free speech advocates. The ironic thing is that free speech laws don't even really protect sexual content. In a US context, these r-slurs don't even realize that obscenity laws mostly exist for sexually explicit material and that porn is mostly allowed as "art".

The banks have always pushed back against coomers bc the rate of chargebacks on porn is crazy crazy high and the banks don't want to deal with it, but the latest round of bullshit here (US) has been puritanical republicans screeching "think of the children" as they pass laws that force you to upload your full legal photo ID to pornhub et al to use them. Which is just gigar-slurred because obviously teens will still be able to find porn on the internet.
