Wow another video of things literally no one would care about if they weren't looking for reasons to hate a game.

Here are some more substantial things

Oblivion

  • Dogshit voice acting. People changing voice in between lines, MULTIPLE BLOOPERS MAKING IT IN GAME.

  • Horrible scaling where the safest way to play the game is to just not level up.

  • Terrible combat with little strategy and no skill.

  • Horribly ugly character designs.

  • So much of the world feels like a theme park, totally fake. Evil dungeon lies 2 steps from a village. Imperial city makes absolutely no sense, why are the docks so far from the rest of the city? Why is there absolutely no development between them?

  • Oblivion gates are all to similar and all shit. When the content is so boring I'd rather no clip to the end you have failed as a dev.

  • Spell creation (the only interesting mechanic in the whole game) is locked behind the chores you have to do for the mages guild.

  • Absolutely unremarkable uninteresting vanilla story with no twists or intrigue.

Avowed

  • I can't hit the fricking cuperinos :soycry:

  • I can't go inside copypaste npc house #2007 :soycry:

And I don't even think Oblivion is that bad a game, I haven't played avowed so I don't know its overall quality. But I find these videos just to miss what really makes a game good or bad.

>you need to waste your budget on inconsequential shit otherwise I'll make it my life's mission to convince everyone your game is shit

>wtf why are modern games so bloated and afraid to take risks

The point is that all those negatives for Oblivion also apply here in addition to not having the basic immersive elements that have becime a standard, in the past 2 decades.

Darn, you frickin r-slurred or just really upset Gothic isnt getting a remaster?

Oblivion was so fricking good bros

I'm kind of surprised at the positive reviews for Avowed. It gives strong "we've got Skyrim at home" vibes.

It's legitimately insane what a colossal leap in technology Oblivion was, and how it's essentially never been replicated. Starfield has access to tech that 2003 Todd could only dream of, and they used it to make uglier blacker NPCs and nothing else.

The Zoomer mind cannot comprehend what it was like to put 100 hours in Morrowind on Xbox, and look at the screenshots of Oblivion on GameStops website and use them to convince your parents to get you a 360.

Yeah it's unreal how good Oblivion was in fricking 2006. It kind of suffers from middle child syndrome between Morrowind (the kino of all kino) and Skyrim (ultimate :marseyfemboy: simulator with mods).

If Todd fricks up TES VI I will fricking :marseyfedpostyes: so hard.

uglier blacker NPCs

Oblivion has a lot going for it but the faces do not hold up. Especially how they ruined the look of the dark elves.

Oh no Oblivion NPCs are ugly as frick, even for the time, but you would think 19 years of progress would mean something.
