man I played don't starve together a long time ago and it was terrible, but played it recently and they seem to have made a ton of QoL improvements, especially that infinite res thing which was imo sorely needed.

Did you play Valheim? Was it good? My friends and I skipped that one but if it was good maybe we'll pick it up when it goes on sale for 90% off or something.

Yeah DST has the res machine and really you could tailor your world to be how you want it. Shit was fun when you make a base and start going underground to find mats to build ancient cowtools. Plus loved the mods where I had Courage the Cowardly Dog character lol

and Valheim was fun when we played it back in like 2021ish. I think they did add some new stuff and I've been wanting to play it again but life as a working dad has prevented me from sinking any time into it.
