To nobody's suprprise: Google Stadia May be Shutting Down Soon

https://sirusgaming.com/google-stadia-shutting-down-soon-rumor

According to Twitter account Killed by Google, a group that tracks all of the services that Google closes down, it will not be long before Google scuttles down the services of Stadia. They claim it could shut down by the end of summer. The worst of it all is this: there will be no license transfer of any sort. This means any game that was bought on Stadia will be gone for good when the services go down. There is some good news though.

I have a stadia because I got one for free. It's fricking garbage and the controller is weird. I tried playing destiny 2 and the input lag is atrocious. Now I have a shitty white controller taking up room in a drawer.

yeah, I tried the playstation equivalent service when I was moving and just had my laptop. It's pretty much unplayable for anything that needs reaction time. Tried to play some ratchet and clank and gave up after a few hours.

I played with an Xbox controller on my fiber connection and it was flawless.

I still would never use Stadia, Xbox cloud is way better. The idea of having a 'license' conrtrolled by a third party platform while games cost $50+ is insane.

$15/m for 100 xbox games that I can play on my TV without even buying an xbox is A+

Journos and foids won't notice a difference.

They work fine at least with my Linux systems if I use a USB-C cable. Even the vibration works.

Not sure if it works for Windows.
