Btw, how do draft posts work? Can I make a draft post to get all images and links in proper order and then 30 minutes later if I post it, will it be a new post or will it be 30 minutes old and thus ranked lower?

It will be ranked based on the time it is posted, that is the entire needful of draft post
You can also use it to store things and other ppl can see the post if you link to it
And unlike regular posts (which you can't edit after 7 days), you can change the needful on draft posts forever ( unless they're actually posted, in which case that 7 day clock starts)
