Roosterteeth is having a great day. It started with beloved neckbeard Matt Bragg announcing that he had been told that his role was "dissolved", followed quickly by producer Marcus LaPorte also being canned. The entire events team has been fired too which is quite big news as RT centres itself around its annual convention RTX.
Layoffs shouldn't be surprising - RT fired 50 people in 2019 and view counts have only continued to tank since then. It seems almost inevitable that their new owner Warner Bros. Discovery will get round to looking at RT's financials sometime and dissolve the entire company. They have only gained YouTube subscribers in one of the last 22 months.

These firings (especially Matt's) caused a lot of unhappiness in the community; lots of people on the subreddit are saying that they're done watching RT content.
But here's for the real drama: for some reason these firings caused former RT employees to start tweeting about their bad experiences at the company, namely 
Kdin Jenzen who makes an incredible accusation:
Within a few weeks of working at Rooster Teeth I was given a nickname, that nickname was a slur. Every day I came into work I was called “F_gg_t” - but they could not use that name in content so when anyone was recording I was called “Fugz” instead.
and another serious accusation for a company seen as being the textbook definition of woke:
By mid 2021 I was told “we’ve done enough for the queer community” - which hurt to hear as I felt like we had barely accomplished anything and were still struggling to have accurate representation on screen as most of our PRIDE stream events featured mostly Cis/Het talent still.
They also complained that they were constantly working crunch hours and were only getting paid $40k after 7 years.
Mica Burton (aka the least-liked RT employee in the history of the company) didn't waste this opportunity to post her own tweet making vague claims about racism, including once seeing the n-word written on a whiteboard.
The entire subreddit is melting down. Beloved current cast members have had tweets and videos dug up in which they called Kdin "Fugz". Until Kdin's tweet today then no one outside of the company knew what this nickname meant. People are finally using Michael Jones' old "N_ggerclaus" video against him (fans previously ignored it because they liked him and "people change", while cancelling other people for far milder slurs).
This is all beautiful to me - Roosterteeth's transition to be as woke as possible meant that it ditched its older, mature fans and replaced them with braindead zoomers who are now in turn cancelling it for not being woke enough. The circle of life. I suspect that we haven't come close to hearing the end of this.
UPDATE: the word Mica saw on the whiteboard was actually "naggers", according to another former employee who remembers writing it to explain a South Park scene to someone else. You can't make this shit up.

RoosterTeeth's downfall makes me equal parts sad but also immensely satsified.
I mostly only watched FunHaus and RWBY.
The first really died when they brought on Alannah, who used her chronic fatigue to avoid doing much of anything other than unfunnily shit up videos. This was followed by Adam Kovic cooming all over the office and recording vids of him riding a dildo and fricking his gf/wife for a catfish. They fired him, they lost a few key people and replaced them with the least passing
and aggrieved black lesbian I'd ever seen. Their videos barely crack like 10k.
RWBY was never great, but it was a light, fun, action series with cute girls. But when the creator, Monty Oum died after an allergic reaction to a surgery trying to make him not allergic to his costhot foids cat, the show cratered hard. Bad animations, even worse writing, overwrought woke shit literally due to fans shipping characters. It's another generic animu in a sea of trash.
Overall kind of sad, not surprising, but a very well deserved downfall.

It was a whole thing. I can do a proper write up if people are interested.
But basically RoosterTeeth started imploding a few years ago when Ryan, high up in RT, and Adam (of Funhaus) were catfished.
Ryan's was worse since he basically screwed barely legal fans at conventions, cheating on his wife. But as scummy as it was, it came out because many of these girls 'thought they were the only one' and didn't like that he had multiple sidepieces. This is an aside, but he was fricking creepy and it all came out at the same time as Adam.
Adam, got catfished also. The catfish made him send pics and vids. Some included him riding a dildo, another of him fricking his partner. I may be misremembering, but a jerk off video may have also occurred in the bathroom in the Funhaus office. When this all came out, Lawrence Sontag (coworker, 'quintessential g*mer', former fatty and nerd with superiority complex and arrested development that not maturing past being bullied in high school by popular boys can only cause) made a few statements about how Adam was gross at work and never washed his hands after the bathroom etc.
This eventually mutated into the meme that he came all over the office and on Elyse Willem's keyboard. There's no / little evidence of it as far as I can tell but is always brought up in discussion.
Anyway, he was shitcanned and his presence from RT deleted, including old Funhaus videos. Funhaus started going down further from there with more departures and shitty new hires. Adam actually returned to the internet recently and very vaguely addressing the situation but mostly focussing on a new book he's cowriting and other projects. Other than Lawrence and Alanah I don't think many others (James, Elyse, Bruce, Joel, Spool, other more peripheral members) have said anything too definitive.
There's also a bit more detail and drama (including former guest Rahul Kohli vagueposting on Twitter about other bad stuff Adam did, but never expanding on it like a b-word) but that's the long and short of it. The entire situation was

Honestly, same. They seemed to scratch that comfy itch for watching people who really gelled, and at least seemed like friends, just shooting the shit.
I could even tolerate Lawrence when he was with the others and not the person playing the game.
The backlog of old Funhaus archived by that Armitage channel on YouTube is always a nice rewatch after Roosterteeth purged all their old stuff with Adam / for being deemed retroactively offensive.

Alanah pissed me off so much. She did nothing, she wasn't funny and everyone else at Funhaus was so much better than her.
She always acted like Funhaus was just a stepping stone before she got something better even though she had no right to expect a better job.
And then she wins some journ*lism award and gets a job at Sony, while Elyse (one of the funniest women I've ever seen) is still languishing at Funhaus.
