There's very little evidence that Pythagoras and Euclid were actually flesh and blood people any more than the state of Wisconsin is. And the evidence that does exist points to them not being Greek.

Pythagoras is a very shadowy figure. He was said to have an interest in math as well as being a vegetarian and into reincarnation and shit. It's not always clear in the earlier sources whether he's a man or a god. Nobody in ancient times ever said he had anything to do with the "Pythagorean Theorem". IIRC in the Suda there are various versions of his origin and they point to Anatolia.
Euclid is the name assigned to the author of a geometry textbook from Egypt. Nothing more is known of him. The only evidence I've seen that he was "Greek" is that the book as it was passed down to us was written in Greek. Which is not terribly convincing to me given that all kinds of people were writing in Greek about how much they hated Greeks in that era.
