British food can be very good, if cooked well. It just tends to get over cooked and turn into brown and grey mushes. Think too liquidy mashed potatoes, vegetables boiled until they have no flavour, and unsalted, cooked dry meats.

Well prepared British foods let the ingredients do the talking instead of over-seasoning. Think roasts, still firm veggies on the side, stews that sort of thing. Actually very good.

I have heard some great Enron stories from my dad and his golfing buddies since they were all in gas business at the time.

Enron use to take my dad on these insane hunting trips in south texas. I figured my dad was a customer of them, turns out my dad is selling product to them. So Enron is pissing money away taking a vendor out to drinking while blasting deer and dove. We are talking nicest ranches in south Texas trips, not half assed. My dad was long time industry guy but not someone that need buttering up. Just a small example of how r-slurred they got.

Also met the guy that brokered the Indian power plant deal that was a complete money pit. He was shorting Enron and telling everyone he knew to after his company sold that plant. He plays memorial park every day, owns a very nice house within walking distance

Rich kinder was a complete badass and is more or less not in the documentary which is the biggest flaw of it. Enron is probably what kinder Morgan is today had he stuck around.

Not to completely dox myself but I went to school with of the names you’d know kid. In Spanish we had to read a bunch of questions in Spanish and get the answer from our partner. We both smoked weed together so we partnered up. My r-slurred butt asked “what does your father do?” In Spanish Cause I just read the paper without thinking. “We can skip that one” was all I got back.
