Since the opening match of the World Cup is on Sunday, it's time to finally place your bets on the eventual winner. The eventual payout is based on the number of total bets and how many people have bet on the winning team (essentially a totalisator, for the degenerates that are familiar with sports goombling 
).
It's worth noting that the bet amount is hard coded, so before anyone asks - no, you can't really bet more than 200 
. I guess you could make additional bets with alts, but there's no way to do this otherwise, so it will still most likely be at least 5 to 1 payout, with much more than that if you bet and win with someone unlikely. Though that hasn't really happened in a while...
Additionally, I will shut down the betting before the start of the tournament, so don't think you can just wait until the second half of the final and make bank with little risk. Bet now!
PS. Depending on the interest, I'll keep doing these as the tournament goes on. Certainly will do for the opening match, and probably (just for fun) for the 
opener (to see if I can get some burger goomblers excited - it does sometimes work). Definitely for the later stages. Idk if there is a point for the regular group stage matches, but we'll see. Let me know if you have any ideas (that don't require coding - out codecels are either burger or just don't like football...)
