the slack is genuinely dead, and it is the default subreddits moderator slack, and the requirement to be there you was that you were a mod of one of the original default subreddits, and it was very active 3 years ago but died after the admins got told they werent allowed to be there literally any more
the admins-comm channel was used to get timely support from the admins for quick things like suicidal users
i shitpost on there once in a while, and hardly anyone ever participates back but go off i guess
