More Roosterteeth drama - their "women-only" channel is shutting down

What's happened now?

RT appear to be going for the "boiling frogs" method of shutting down, by closing individual departments one by one. A few days ago it was RTX (their annual convention), today it's their female-focussed network All Good No Worries, which barely lasted a year. This is the third time that their all-female podcast Always Open (aka the finger me podcast) has been put on hiatus. And before you ask, yes one of the main "talent" was a (she's so insufferable that I stopped watching Funhaus entirely).

Whoever would have guessed that a female network for a community based around Halo machinima wouldn't be profitable?

Next up on the chopping block is probably Dogbark, a horrendous half-sketch half-gaming channel that was meant to distil the original Achievement Hunter vibe but instead was dead on arrival. They get 15k views per video and probably have 15-20 employees.

The /r/roosterteeth jannies are still banning anyone who expresses negativity but let's take a look at the comments anyway. There's a lot of blaming the economy rather than blaming RT being shit:

You're really blaming Biden for AGNW shutting down? [this is me, I expect to shortly be banned from /r/roosterteeth for a 9th time]

I have a feeling this is the first bad announcement of many coming within the next year, it's been a brutal time for tech and media companies

Someone thinks that RT's problem is that RWBY is too successful:

RT has felt like it's gone in a million directions and rebrands for a few years now

It has, thanks in no small part to AH, RT Podcast, and FH losing the personalities that made them so popular, plus RWBY ballooning into a phenomenon that simply eats resources

Someone hire this guy to solve RT's problems. He has his finger on the pulse of the modern youth. A puppet show is all they're missing.

this channel had so much potential. i enjoyed all the shows. it was the right amount of cozy and chaotic. i felt this was coming, though. what a bummer...

i'd love if How Hard Could It Be? and Please, Be Nice to Me could continue on the Funhaus channel in the future. or just some form of "get high and make shit with Lindsey" and "gameshow hosted by Charlotte". Elyse needs a puppet show, too. she didn't have one on AGNW but she should have one anyway.
