it's not so much ideal, but China has over 1 billion people, has been socialist for more than 70 years, and still chugging along China-ly.
By some metrics it's a success. Sure it's no utopia, but it pokes more than a few holes in the Usonian narrative.

India has more people but is kinda a decentralised shithole in more respects. It's only a country with that many people on a technicality.
I tend to think libertarianism is a flawed ideology that misunderstands human nature in wanting to wield the state to impose a vision for one's people/ingroup. Liberalism also fails in this regard. Milei could be a counterrexample, and I want to see if he trashes the central bank, but I'm more inclined to think he'll be a wet fart. He loves Israel after all.
