I and hopefully most people would agree that society should cater to the majority

it makes sense to think about things in ways that benefit the most people at the expense of the fewest (within reason).

but part of this is identifying with the 'marginalized' against the majority

no matter what they believe or their intention, the majority must be an evil oppressor because minorities are not the center of attention

so a lot of their beliefs center around these fringes of any intersectional quality:

but also in their economic position. you see that all they ever talk about are the rich and the poor. the poor are always oppressed and can do no wrong, the rich are fundamentally evil for existing. but they never mention the middle class. their policies destroy the middle class. they simply do not care about the majority of people. And honestly they've twisted the whole of economic discussion through their lens.

Why should we care about the plight of the rich, or the poor?

Why isn't the entirety of our economic policy dedicated to helping allowing the most people possible to be successful?

Most people don't even live paycheck to paycheck. The median savings is like 8k and median assets is like 60k. THEY live paycheck to paycheck. And because they can't understand anything outside of their own experience, they think everyone else is like that too.

I worked in an industry where everyone was making over $100k a year and so many people were "broke." Child support, truck/boat/camper payments, cocaine. Look how many broke athletes there are. With most people, the more money you make, the more money you spend. I've never met any of these people that didn't blame themself though.
