It's not what you think from the name, it's a subreddit for supporting a specific faction in Game of Thrones, specifically in the House of the Dragon series. What gets interesting is that they are enemies of /r/HOTDGreens, a subreddit for another faction. /r/HOTDGreens seems to be a more "-gate" style subreddit while /r/HOTDBlacks even has a /r/gamingcirclejerk-tier rule of "Crossposting From HOTDGreens and asoiafcirclejerk is banned." The disagreement occasionally becomes political, with members of the subreddits not being able to understand why someone would prefer another faction of characters in a heckin morally grey grimdark world (this is just like ship wars but disguised by only arguing about things confirmed to be canon)
