I'm not convinced Marxists want to make people read theory, because I think even they realize that dropping that level of extremism on them is a surefire way to make them run away. You have to actually get the flock to Guyana before you can start handing out the Flavor-Aid. The vast majority of self-professed leftists just want welfare, and at most unions. They don't want workers' councils and the abolishment of private property.
