I worked literally all night on Christmas Eve. Come morning, I found that I broke every breaker bar in my toolbox. The job is flat rate - it pays a set amount. The customer needed the vehicle back and because it was Christmas, I could not go purchase another tool to finish the job. I lost about 200 dollars in broken cowtools over a factory mistake, the last bolt in a long job. Not the customerβs fault, arguably not mine. Nobody to point fingers at. Job not done = no pay.
I therefore had to return the vehicle to the state in which it was brought in, also for free.
I worked all night and I have less than nothing to show for it. The hard work I did had a negative value. My body hurts. Iβm very tired. I should never have gone into the trades.

The American mechanic is about as fricked as possible. Almost as much debt as college students. But our investment can break or be stolen. Theirs canβt. I just hate my life.

My body and spirit = broken. By the time I am "making bank" I'm already too old to enjoy the money I make.
Margin call looming, need to start selling bussy
I can't stop getting scammed and grifted, money disappears into worthless big numbers.

"be rich" is kind of the only one that matters. Or be born into a good family. Knowledge is worth less than nothing. Hard work is worth less than nothing.
