I watched a few of the videos. And then completely taken aback about why somebody spend day after day using it. I sort of understand, watching it every once in a while to remember your own mortality

I've never felt any sort of desire to watch a beheading or a lathe accident or whatever, and so I've never done so. You apparently have. Why are you directing this question to me? You're the gore enjoyer.

You can get all of this from /pol/ without power users pooping up everything.

Back when it was a subreddit I used to watch it every night before going to bed.

I think it started because I was an edge master and wanted to desensitize myself. And then it became kind of entertaining I guess.

Then some time later there was that sub about robbers getting wrecked. That was cathartic though. Kill all shoplifters.

I just find it entertaining, it's quite simple.

It also gives me a pretty unfiltered view of the world, and helps me understand human nature.

I feel like another reason it's so popular is cus of the social features, but there's always some people who just like to jack off to beheadings.
