There was a close call a couple years ago. It's usually high winds interacting with PG&E's corruption and incompetence. There's very little a fire chief can do except pray the mayor does not lose the mandate of heaven.

Then it sounds like an especially bad idea to put someone pro DEI (LGBTQ+) as fire chief. Doubt their prayers are heard if you look at the churchs' positions in that regard.
