His job description doesn't call for deposing the federal government. It's kind of a contradiction to try to "enforce the law" against the supreme law enforcement official of not only NY, but also the rest of the country.

POTUS isn't the supreme law enforcement official of NY.
POTUS exercises no direct authority over any state, that's how a republic works.
Despite what Trump thinks he can't actually order this. Posse Comitatus Act strictly restricts the ability of US armed forces to be deployed domestically.
What would have happened if an actual sentence had been imposed was a stay pending appeal and then it would have been figured out in higher courts.
I'm looking forward to the appeal. He confessed to it repeatedly so there isn't an innocence angle. His bias claims about the court are not going anywhere. Possibly grounds on ineffective counsel but that just gets him a retrial.
Selective prosecution requires him to find others doing the same thing that the state knew about and choose not to prosecute.
Given his age I doubt the appeals will ever finish.

The supremacy clause says that federal authorities can enforce the laws in any state, regardless of state laws or state rulings. He is the head enforcement official for NY.
Posse comitatus means jack shit if a state aligning itself with the rival political party locks up the president of the US. Again, it would never happen. But if it did, it wouldn't be resolved through courts if the state decided to keep the president as a political prisoner.
