He literally sentenced a cat to death. That cat will be put down within a week at a kill shelter. All shelters this time of year are at full capacity. The cat did nothing wrong and now will die terrified after being taken from his home and locked in a 5x5 cage until he's sentenced to death. You are literally saying OP was RIGHT to do this then you have the nerve to insult the person above and call them "miserable" for having empathy. This is a living breathing animal who experiences pain and hurt and loss and was doing cat things, and was raised by a bad cat owner so it's not his fault, yet being sentenced to death for being who he was created to be. Where the heck do you live? Basically all outdoor cats I have ever known were at least 15 when they died. Do people shoot them in your neighborhood or something like that? (17)

Your personal anecdotes don't really mean anything. But since you are bringing them up, I live in a city/suburb where people "own" outdoor cats. We do not shoot cats, we don't poison cats, we don't have coyotes patrolling the area. I see a cat plastered on the road literally every single week. I literally only travel the same roads (2 miles) ever. So this one single path has around 30-60 dead cats a year. I had an outdoor cat get killed right in front of my house as a child by a car at night. The cats fight each other, they are killed by cars, diseases, etc. I'm not sure how old the outdoor cats live because usually one day they're just gone, don't really have any bodies to find. The statistics tell the same story, so for every 15 yo outdoor cat you know, I know 50 dead young cats on the street. Horrible sight to see literal kittens dead for no other reason than humanity who let them end up like this. (14)
