I think part of the drama is about wow and his gameplay as a mage, especially for neurodivergent wow g*mers.
But I think the big reason this drama has legs is that a lot of people have been slowly building a dislike towards Pirate Software over the last year or two but haven't really fully realized it until now.
To me he gives off a swarmy know it all attitude in his clips and he acts like an expert in so many different things it started to make me have doubts he really knows what he's talking about. Seeing him roach out and deny any real accountability on what he could have done better helped cement these negative feelings I had. It's nice to see so many others feel the same

Hardcore is even worse. You die permanently if you die. I was watching PirateSoftware for a bit and the cities are dead. Nobody is around except the streamers in that OnlyFangs guild, and people take everything so seriously since you perma-die for a mistake. No fun in the game since you can't LEEEROOOOY anything.

To be fair it's just a game doesn't work in this particular instance since it's wow HC. Idk if you know much about wow HC but it's an mmo that you decided to turn on perma death. Still takes dozens or hundreds of hours to get anywhere and you can lose all that in just a moment because other people made mistakes.It is crazy to me to play perma death in an mmo but it's fair to say you cant use "it's just a game" in this kind of situation.:

Because this is a game culture he has grown up in and was shaped by. I do not understand why people are surprised. Thor comes across as a really cool guy when he's dealing with the business side of streaming, or his ferrets or anything else. He was a peepee in that dungeon, and probably a peepee in Eve ( I didn't play Eve). Plenty of people are kind of peepees in video games. This isn't uncommon, he's a good player and being a good player he gets a bit of an ego that he's a really good player. And then something goes wrong and he makes a bad call, and that bad call leads to two or three more bad calls. Someone in his guild is probably going to DM him when this cools down going "hey man, you were kind of a peepee for this" And that will be the end of this because this is a completely normal interaction in any hobby where you stress yourself out for fun.:
