Oh lol I commented on this thread, since they happened to be considering Japan and Costa Rica (which are both countries my family is from). The idea that a black woman would face less prejudice based on race/s*x in those countries than the US is extremely laughable and honestly baffling.
Funniest part is that even if you do think the US will descend into fascism, Costa Rica would be next. They're kept stable completely by US involvement. If the US goes belly-up somehow, it will turn into Nicaragua overnight.

As a resident I of course have an irrational urge to defend japan, but you'd be surprised how big of a filter for quality the language barrier actually is
low quality r-slurs generally leave voluntarily after a couple years max when not being able to participate in society at all really starts to set in

I don't understand the Ruqqus administrators' obsession with this carp guy. He's one of the most malicious, hatred-inducing individuals I've ever seen online. Literally makes people hate him on purpose. And for some inexplicable reason, all of the Ruqqus administrators not only follow this one man's word for everything and ignore the 99.99% of other people on their site, but even as the site is dead, they literally make his post that claims things like 'the free speech model is bad' as their HOMEPAGE.
