A friend knowledgeable about govt contracting noticed some DOGE claims of money saved that are... unusual.

like if you had a JC Penny credit card with a limit of $1000 and a $0 balance, DOGE is claiming the $1000 was spending when nothing was spent or contracted to be spent, just a dollar amount budgeted so they could use it if needed.

I've worked for the government. If the money is budgeted, it's getting spent or they will get less next year. The last week of the year, they are ordering anything they want or might need to get rid of all remaining budgeted funds. They don't spend it all in February, obviously.
