Or rather they made it illegal for companies to buy location bidstream data for anything other than selling ads and you also can't link location history to an advertising device or personal profile that would make it individually identifiable (new standard is basically anything at all) unless it's in the immediate interest of national security. oh i forgot to mention: no maintenance. big plus there too.
it's quite a bit more than 120, epa is 300+ but useful per charge range is more like 250. i don't mind the charges, u got go to the bathroom and watch youtube for 15-20 mins and it's nothing.
i did a road trip last year from SF thru death valley, to northern arizon, the up and down new mexico, hitting the western edge of texas... and all the way back. how much more desolate can it really get? it definitely took a little planning, but there really are enough chargers out there.
it really sucks the govt is pulling back on the EV charging buildout. gas honestly sucks to drive in comparison, and i want it easier to road trip.
EVs could be made basically negligible cost to drive if we offered commercial electricity pricing at charging stations.

bro it is so nice to just be able to accelerate immediately around people when u want to, when merging, or off a stop light... what r u ever talking about?
cops dont pull u over for acceleration, they pull you over for speeding. while i accelerate more, i actually speed less in the tesla cause the autopilot speed/lane keeping is quite good even for heavy traffic... so i always turn it on for highway driving and just chill in the 2nd fastest lane.
it's honestly hard to lose control. it has 4 wheel traction control, not only by controlling the two motors, but by using per wheel breaking too. just the other day it was raining pretty hard, and i decided to try flooring it during a left turn out of parking lot (wide street, zero other cars) ... and it handled like a champ. very little slip at all, went exactly where i steered it. i was pretty surprised, it's putting down a lot of power.
telsas are fun to drive, and it hasn't become less fun with ownership. i get missing the engine noise, and the stick shift... i used to drive a souped bugeye wrx wagon, and hopefully i fix it up someday for the nostalgia... but if i had to choose only one the telsa wins hands down, no regrets.
