Ive started checking Ali for every item I'm about to buy from Amazon and the same item is always on there for less than half of the cost.
Is amazon just a giant drop shipping scam at this point?

When you buy shit from Ali doesn't it take ages to get here, and the return policy sucks (in comparison)?
tbh the only chinesium shit I buy from Amazon costs like $10 there and buying from Ali just doesn't seem worth the hassle for that little money.

The only things I've bought from AliExpress are a Timemore coffee grinder because it's a Chinese brand and a caidao because it's hard to find a carbon steel one in the US without an r-slured markup. Sometimes I look at stationary and knockoff bike components, but slow boat shipping is a good impulse purchase suppressant.

They have some US warehouses now so some stuff arrives pretty quick, but otherwise it's usually a couple weeks.
Their actual return policy is okay it's just that it's full of Chinese scammers so they'll give you a fake tracking number or ship a different item and when you try to return stuff they lie and say it wasn't recieved and Ali will side with them cause their support is dogshit.
