After using a 1080 for years I switched to linux with a 7900xtx I got for $800 and it literally just works, no problem. Anyone using nvidia for gaming in current year is either an actual blurslop enjoyer who loves interpolated """frames""" and fake resolution because bigger number or an enthusiast who doesn't actually understand what he's paying for (a brand name).
