Airports and ATC. Redditors will be amazed when they find out they are private in almost all of Europe.

There are no private commercial airports in the US. Almost all the largest commercial airports in Europe are privately owned, governments only own the airports that are too small to be commercially viable.

ATC services are generally private charters, sometimes single per country and sometimes several. They function based on use fees. US GA would get upset because they would lose their gibs but frick em, if you can afford a plane you can afford to fund your own airspace.

At least in Germany ATCs are paid way too much, I wished someone would pull Regans stunt and fire them all.
