Didn't they respond to woke criticisms of trying to cast and elevate seven dwarves? IIRC Dinklage stood high as a leader of an online mob against Disney for casting dwarves, so Disney backed off at the height of criticism and decided to do CGI to be a little more sensitive.

With movies like this, that seem to get almost no publicity or marketing, i wonder if the "double the budget to account for marketing" still holds true. Even if you astroturf social media to heck and back, like Star Wars and such did, I cant imagine it costing that much.
