TBH man there's a point at which the abyss gazes back and that point is pretty precisely when you're laughing at a kid blowing his brains out. I'm not saying it's not got a place somewhere on the Internet: the obscene. But there's a reason to maintain taboos.
I saw a similar video of a kid and a shotgun and it was a powerful source of self-reflection. That same sense of awe at the fragility of life that I got the few times I browsed r/watchpeopledie.
It's not that it's bad, in and of itself, to permit the viewing and contemplation of such a thing.
It's that the taboo exists for a reason, and that reason is to prevent spreading the general meme of suicide. Arguably the taboo is part of what makes talking about suicide hard. That doesn't matter. The taboo is to prevent stupid suggestibility apes from taking stupid suggestions and acting on them. It's not more complicated than that.
If of your work you could be said to have led to a person choosing to commit suicide, if you were a person who ran a site whose accumulated actions were calculated to drive someone to suicide, is that the sort of thing you want to build a fan-base around? The moral culpability is real.
Like I said, r/watchpeopledie has its place.

IIRC the jannies didn't pin the whole thing, just the moment of truth. I found the entire stream recording somewhere a while later. Watching him paint the room with his brains didn't phase me much, but listening to his mom's screams fricked with me a bit. The first responders casually talking amongst themselves as they secured the scene provided a fascinating tonal dichotomy to the whole thing; it was surely the worst day of at least one person's life, but just another day at work for them.
