Hey guys we're removing the ability to comment on posts, the whole comment infrastructure is cumbersome and the concept itself archaic. Going forward you can repost content that you like to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and Reddit with a caption of your choosing after a brief, 15-second ad (7 for patrons). This should meaningfully improve load times and allow us to roll out more exciting, modern features to bring rDrama's software into the 25th year of the third millennium at last.
Comments will be sunsetted on 4/14. Old comments will be archived as read-only for the foreseeable future, don't worry.

For a while on my phone it defaulted to "Read Aloud" and you had to touch another button to get to "Copy". Feel like that was 100% some pm telling the dev team for text selection that they had to prioritize inclusion, so they ended up making something objectively worse to use for 99.99% of users to benefit the 0.01% who need something read aloud to understand it.

I assume they actually don't. Generally admin can't/don't read your DMs unless law enforcement is asking. It's also potentially crushing for business if people find out their DMs were read. There's always gonna be some turbo neurodivergent admigger who tries to poke around, but outside of that it's not very common. At least it wasn't when I did this shit in the 2Ks.
