Everyone cares when kids lose their lives. I have 2 young kids and I have several guns and I hunt. If you think people don't care then you have been captured by propaganda. At this point making guns illegal is not realistic in this country. People don't support outlawing guns because it won't fix the problem. Older guys I know would go to school with hunting rifles in their truck back window. No one got shot. There is a big movement to do more research on school shooters and SSRIs but then again if we do that it would cause a stigma on pharmaceuticals and some people would lose a lot of money. So the counter argument would be why do Americans love their prescriptions more than kids lives? (-15)

I'll give you some lee way since you put "Seem to" but as most questions on here, the question comes loaded by design. How come past America older teens actually purchased guns out of catalogs and were allowed to bring them to school and store them until the end of the day and there was not 1 school shooting, yet now in more modern times guns are banned from schools, and there's more school shootings. Anybody going to look into that or no? Got to ask why and what factors contribute to such a shift. Idk why everyone pretends it's the guns or perhaps they believe it is incorrectly but has done zero historical research on America and guns. We have more guns in USA than people, YET this issue of school shootings is new, and it's still not as high as you would think it is for a country with more guns than people. I'm going to get shit on for this, because Reddit is full of Leftoids and Leftoids love gun control. America has always had guns, but it didn't always have a mass shooting problem. At one point in time, schools had shooting ranges, and kids would bring guns to school so they could go hunting after school. At some point in our nation's history, something happened to our people. I don't know what it is, but, for some reason, Leftoids seem pathologically adverse to looking into what changed.In as little words as possible, what I believe to have happened is a mix of quotes from Jordan Peterson and ShortFatOtaku.It's revenge against God for the crime of being. Time and time again, people such as yourself imagine a world "if only people cared about kids more by removing constitutional rights, we'd be safe!" and "Shouldn't one kids life be worth that effort?"OK. Shouldn't kids lives be worth physical security? The immediate response to that is "OMG why have schools be like prisons! We cannot have that!" What happened to "Isn't it worth one kids life?"We have physical security in all areas of society. Corporate offices, banks, government buildings, airports, sports arenas, concert venues, bars, etc. So you're totally cool with having controlled ingress/egress and scanners for contraband there, but not at schools?
