Driving a car is not a fundamental right or even a right in any regard, so it would be very easy to create mpre refulations/legislation on it. If they passed a law that all children under age 16 lets say have to wear a helmet in the car it wpuld save at least hundreds if not tjousands of children's lives. Im comparing preventable deaths to even more preventable deaths. You cant regulate or ban guns nearly as easy as you could regulate cars. If saving lives were a concern they could pullout more regulations on cars to save lives butt theh dont bc it would be impractical/unpopular. Youre argument seems to come down to some type of philosphy pertaining to the intent of rhe killing, like a child who dies in a car accident is somehow more moral than a kid killed by a gun, butt at the end of the day a death is a death and legally its much easier to save lives by regulating cars than by regulating guns bc their is no constitutional protection or right to drive a car. Everyone cares when kids lose their lives. I have 2 young kids and I have several guns and I hunt. If you think people don't care then you have been captured by propaganda. At this point making guns illegal is not realistic in this country. People don't support outlawing guns because it won't fix the problem. Older guys I know would go to school with hunting rifles in their truck back window. No one got shot. There is a big movement to do more research on school shooters and SSRIs but then again if we do that it would cause a stigma on pharmaceuticals and some people would lose a lot of money. So the counter argument would be why do Americans love their prescriptions more than kids lives?:
