This kid is so funny because he's throwing such a giant tantrum about this while also saying MIT should be recognizing his genius and imagining how they will be able to put his name on their promotional materials because he plugged off the shelf AI models together to tell you approximately how many calories are in a cheeseburger

But this is what twitter tech bro culture is now. It's grifters all the way down

>it's easy

So many geniuses online leaving all these top shelf million dollar easy ideas untouched, how nice of them

Do you think that this is a feature that is technically impossible for any major company to implement or something?

There are probably genuinely thousands of "million dollar" ideas left on the cutting room floor every day. The bulk of the challenge isn't building them, but finding someone to fund them or to buy them off you

Of course completing a project is an impressive feat for an 18 year old. But where he loses me is the pompous grifter speak he picked up because of it.

The value of a tech company matters much less on how much money they actually make and much more on how much they can convince investors that they'll eventually be able to make money.

Saying that getting investor money should be a ticket to an elite university is just a silly thing to do because it's measures absolutely nothing about academics

"Wow dude congrats you successfully fundraised your web app. You're now worthy to stand side by side amongst our Nobel prize winners and partake in cutting edge PhD level research"

He'd have a better shot if he was neurodivergentally passionate about his field instead of signaling so hard about doing it for the money. These places want neurodivergents!!

In fact it's an indictment if the university system. Someone who's proven themselves to be economically valuable gets rejected by elite universities because those institutions are just signals of elite class, and mainly exist to suck money out of the taxpayer to inflate their own egos

>A million people with good grades that think they're Steve Jobs write the worst admissions essays ever and are surprised Harvard said no.

Yep, you might be a genius but passing the HR girlboss vibe check is an important institutional gate to keep closeted chuds and neurodivergents away from elite-credentializing institutions. Harvard wouldn't want the next Notch associated with its brand, would it?

I didn't get into university because I was too busy drinking to remember to send in the application, and that's racism against drunks, and probably a war crime too.

I read his straggot personal essay and I didn't see a single answer to "how do you expect to benefit out of going to college?", and it also doesn't have a satisfactory answer for "how would the college benefit from you?" Most of the essay is him jerking himself off about how he doesn't NEED college and how successful he is, which of course kind of begs the question on why he's crying on X (he would not make as much money being a chud grifter as he claims he's making).

Also lmao at him thinking that college would be the best four years of his life, only mental rejects would say this and you can easily frick college students and go to parties without actually going to college.
