Only in modern times, would an 18 year old kid, who runs an 8 figure company, who employs 15 people, and made an app to combat the number 1 health crisis of his nation would be lectured by a twitch streaming only fans girl because she got into Harvard and he didn't.

The woman in question (I think)
This guy is smart, will be successful, and I wish him the best of luck, but I wish more people who go viral for getting rejected from top colleges would post their personal statement because it becomes immediately obvious why they were rejected. This is an educational resource. https://t.co/GpgPRMj7mR

Whenever I see students with good grades but lots of college rejections, my first thought is a bad personal essay. As predicted, this guy's essay was kind of a disaster.

Since I did get into Harvard, I'll give my two cents on the essay: https://t.co/eyiYF7axk5
Very high standards from Stanford btw:

This is the college admissions "crisis" in a nutshell. A million people with good grades that think they're Steve Jobs write the worst admissions essays ever and are surprised Harvard said no. https://t.co/TUVjRBOfXs

This kid is so funny because he's throwing such a giant tantrum about this while also saying MIT should be recognizing his genius and imagining how they will be able to put his name on their promotional materials because he plugged off the shelf AI models together to tell you approximately how many calories are in a cheeseburger
But this is what twitter tech bro culture is now. It's grifters all the way down

So many geniuses online leaving all these top shelf million dollar easy ideas untouched, how nice of them

Do you think that this is a feature that is technically impossible for any major company to implement or something?
There are probably genuinely thousands of "million dollar" ideas left on the cutting room floor every day. The bulk of the challenge isn't building them, but finding someone to fund them or to buy them off you
Of course completing a project is an impressive feat for an 18 year old. But where he loses me is the pompous grifter speak he picked up because of it.
