What made the admins intervene was the link I think, as I doubt they would care about a random cat minuscule cat on the board.
Their mistake was to abuse their power, as usual.
Had chonkrrr let Marsey be killed for our sins by the chess club instead of

Tbf rdrama is the only offsite willing and able to do it. The other Reddit offshoots are either too small or unwilling to cause drama, the sheep shagger agricultural forum is too stuck up its own butt, and the big places on 4chan canβt seem to get anything too dramatic off the ground anymore

Thereβs a couple of things we have in our favor. One of those is that the drama we cause isnβt inherently political (critical theorists shut up). We can draw in rightoids and leftoids not just as targets but as participants. I also generally have faith in the nihilism of the site - so Iβll happily attack my own beliefs or defend causes I donβt believe in, because I believe weβre not pushing politics, weβre pushing drama. Our drama is pure and I trust the drama.
That alone kinda doubles our manpower.
Weβre also low stakes and low effort fun. If thereβs no good drama that day, we can just stir user drama here, and if that doesnβt work, Marsey is a cute cat.
We put in the work and we work together. I mean, you all do. I donβt do shit. Iβm a drama leech.

All I want is that brief period of time before /r/drama got axed where 9/10 posts were simply linking to other reddit posts where there was drama in the comments. No agenda walls of text, no pinging users or harassing in DMs, no shitposting. Just a wall of links to genuine drama.

The CIA has their own credibility problem, same as any organization. When they get caught doing things like framing Julian Assange for s*x crimes or persecuting Edward Snowden for whistleblowing, it leads to a lot of public hatred towards them. Now you might think that government organizations like the CIA aren't in the same position as Reddit because they can't be replaced if the userbase (ie, the public) gets angry enough, but this would be a misperception. Any government apparatus can be replaced: this is called a revolution. What people don't understand though is that the same market forces are at play in a revolution as in any other system.
