Some of you may have noticed that the Florist is now up to 600k Dramacoin, and +389k winnings on the leaderboard. His posts gloating about his winnings have been obnoxious, as has his goomble spam on random peoples' threads. Snappy even lost her shirt soon after, leaving him without competition. So, I made a chart.

The period prior to August 5th lasted months. He lost almost 200k and wallowed in shame and destitution as one of rDrama's biggest goomble losers. But then, things changed: he started to win. As best I can tell, this was pure dumb luck, since he says he never doubles down, and our best codecels' calculations say that there's about a 2% edge in favor of the house without doubling down. With optimal play, there's a slight statistical edge in favor of the player, but Carp didn't have that: he stumbled his way to victory.

Further, the Martingale betting strategy he employed—doubling bet size after losing—really ought to have bit him in his scaly, fishy butt by now. In his biggest loss, visible to the right of the graph, he nearly did lose his bankroll. Then he got a lucky break, and the Dramacoin debt collectors poised to make him pay it off with his Carkitty reluctantly stopped harassing his phone number.

In these trying times, I would like to reassure everyone that blackjack is actually honest and fair, and the code is auditable on Github. We can only hope that the (((🐟️))) has sufficient noblesse oblige to donate his wealth to good causes before he inevitably loses it all.
