Bolhem Bouchiba, a key veteran of Disney and Pixar animation studios, is currently awaiting trial in Paris. He is accused of having ordered the r*pe of hundreds of young girls in the Philippines through live streaming.
Prior to his arrest, Bouchiba, 59, had been a key animator at Disney and Pixar for decades. At Disney, he was an animator on Esmerelda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hades in Hercules, and the title character of Tarzan, as well as supervising animator of Jumba in Lilo & Stitch. He also animated on the Oscar-nominated shorts Lorenzo and Runaway Brain.
Europol, the law enforcement agency of the European Union, started investigating Bouchiba in 2019, when they noticed suspicious movements of funds to the Philippines, according to an exclusive report in Le Figaro, France's oldest and second-largest national newspaper. The investigation revealed that he had been paying for remote sexual abuse of minors, aged three to fifteen years old. The number of live streams that he conducted number in the hundreds and could reach as many as a thousand children, according to investigators.
Bouchiba, who referred to children as "pigs" admitted during his interrogations that the children whose abuse he ordered were "scared" and often crying. "It's horrible what's happening to them," he said, "and I think they express it to the adult and the adult, most of the time, doesn't stop."
More details on Bouchiba's actions can be found in the original Figaro report. Suffice to say, the acts were barbaric and depraved beyond comprehension, and unnecessary to reprint here.
His trial is set to take place October 29-31. If found guilty, Bouchiba could serve up to twenty years in prison.

I want an emotionally distant BPD Asian girl friend with a fricked up no past background. Also she's from Singapore. Totalitarian, and Asian, and rich.

I liked the retcons and the animation is top notch. The ear thing is funny but does kind of make sense to make things more consistent. Too bad toriyama died. However his world building is insane. Like no one thinks like him. The dimension hopping fish shit, like who does that other than him? The new characters will be in sparking zero too.
What is DB:D? After the buu saga but before super, the successor of the demon world after Debora's death plots something evil. Why are everyone children now??? Explore the demon realm, something once was only shown in dragon ball heroes but now it's different and canon!
Nothing is spoiled so far, we don't even know how long diama is going to be. 24 episodes? 52? No idea

It's very difficult managing work, special-needs cats, relationships, personal health, and home life. I'm strongly considering working as a part-time freelance tutor again, and the harassment and depravity goes deep in the field of education. I am not excited about the idea of working 2-3 pt jobs again, but my morning job just isn't going to pay the bills.
In other news, Sheila chewed almost all her sutures loose, and now she wears the bodysuit of shame as well as the cone, which she escapes easily.
Prayers requested. I know I'm trash, but I do my best for others. I figure that counts for something.

For those who don't know, Junji Ito is considered the master of horror manga. He's most famous for his body horror and lovecraftian stories about people struggling against unknown/unknowable forces. For years people have wanted to see faithful anime adaptions of Ito's work, which many studios have tried and failed.
Some examples and their scores on MAL:
The Junji Ito Collection 6.54/10
Junji Ito: Maniac 6.64/10
Gyo 5.33/10
For those who don't know, anything under a 7 on MAL is typically bad, and anything under 6 is garbage.
One of his most famous stories is Uzumaki, Japanese for swirl. From Wikipedia:
Uzumaki follows a high-school teenager, Kirie Goshima ; her boyfriend, Shuichi Saito; and the citizens of the small, quiet Japanese town of Kurouzu-cho (黒渦ー町, Black Vortex Town), which is enveloped by supernatural events involving spirals.
In 2019 an anime was announced for Uzumaki at the Crunchyroll expo. Here's the announcement thread on /r/anime.
Originally planned for release in 2020, it was delayed to 2021.
And then 2022.
And then indefinitely.
And then 2023.
But in 2024 it came, and it was glorious.
Drawn in black and white with rotoscoping, the first episode looked pretty good. A little rushed, but it received glowing reviews on /r/anime

I understand why the show took as long as it did. The pacing is a bit fast, but this is an incredible adaptation.
Man that was so good, unsettling, and creepy. I'm so excited for the rest of this.
Was anyone else grinning like a crazy person? Just me?
This is just terrific! I was surprised to realize they're adapting multiple stories simultaneously, but it makes sense. A lot of them take place over multiple days, so it's not crazy to think some are happening at the same time. I'm impressed at how organically they blended them together though.
even the crabs that infest nu-/a/ seemed to (mostly) enjoy it. So how did it look? Pretty decent I think:
Everyone was looking forward to the rest of the series (only 4 episodes by the way), and with bated breath, all awaited episodes 2. So how was episode 2 you ask?
Yeah, /r/anime is not happy https://old.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1fxayq1/uzumaki_episode_2_discussion/
I don't understand how this even happened. The anime was delayed three times, with it in total taking over 5 years from its announcement. Just to produce 4 episodes in black and white. Only for the animation to fall apart on the 2nd episode.
I was willing to overlook the extremely rapid pacing for good animation. As I knew, they only had 4 episodes but to get goofy animation and rapid pacing at the same time.
5-7 years in the makings and endless delays _"to make sure it lives up to the standards"_ and we get THIS? wtf? the lies. we're not even getting a full season but only 4 episodes, it's not that hard to keep the quality for this kind of short run.
I'm literally so devastated.
/a/ is clowning on it, as one would expect.
So how could this possibly happen?
So where do we go from here? I don't know, but thankfully there are only two episodes left, so we'll all be put out of our misery soon. If you want to follow along for this shit show, new episodes come out Saturday nights for the next two week

I was considering getting a manga volume as a gift for a cousin but literally all the ones I hear are for kids and start reading(naruto, dragonball z) have ecchi sequences right in chapter 1 are Jap kids just extra perverted or is the culture different local kids media barely has any romcom stuff and even in American media at most you'll have light romcom. When I used to watch anime on TV I'd flip to cartoon network every time stuff like that happened cause my grandparents would be nearby He's 10 BTW, it'd probably not be very shocking to a kid with internet access but I don't like optics of his parents maybe flipping a few pages and seeing a naked(appropriately blurred) lady.

It's only showing the last hundred days in his history for some reason but I've found him in older threads like this going back even farther.
Autism? Paid shill? Genuine Boruto enthusiast? Not sure but I thought it was funny.
