In our group's case, it was a bully who was emboldened to threaten to assault people because the "sport" was simulated swordfighting, and the Board folded. He ran off a lot of people.

One of the things I did in researching How To Get Reddit To Take Responsibility For Extremists On Platform was to research how the Reddit TOS changed over time.

When it was still directly owned by Wired / Conde Nast, the TOS explicitly banned all obscenity.

Blocks are the easiest and most thoroughly zero-knowledge enforceable moderation tool.

If someone circumvents a block to effectuate continued unwanted interaction with the blocker, that is a boundary violation, and circumventing a technological access control — period
