!macacos é pra gente sentir dó desse cara?

Porra, torrar 170k R$ como se ele estivesse fugindo do Afeganistão. Tem cada sem noção.

Also, if Lula was based he would deport illegal burger "expats" on cuffs, but instead he's going to :soycry: at the UN like a cuck.

I hope Orange Man sends all those vira-latas back to the fatherland.

How is it possible that it's that expensive? Did he get smuggled inside a gilded treasure chest

This guy couldn't get a tourist visa, so he took a plane to Panama, went to Guatemala and then blew money on coyotes through Mexico up to the US border. He was arrested in San Diego.

Before anyone asks, no, Brazil is not some nightmarish hellhoe but a functional albeit flawed developing country. There's pretty much no decent pay-off for a macaco to move illegally to the US, it's way to far away and anyone with money to spend through those insane travels can afford a dignified lifestyle, hence why the number of !macacos in the US is quite small relative to other Latinx and Brazil's population. But some people watched too many movies and believe they can make it in Burgerland with no papers and hope for the next amnesty.

Most BR hustle and bustle cels can easily solve their security and mental health problems by moving to some small or mid-sized city in the SP countryside or in the South.

Rio has a lower murder rate than Chicago (19 per 100k vs 23 in 2023)

Same violence problems apply to any burgerland ghetto.

Yeah but if you get murdered in Chicago they have a cool black guy with a deep voice tell you to "keep strong".

Chicago's murders are highly concentrated in a few blocks, though.

Murders in Rio are concentrated in certain favelas, is not like the entire city is some war zone.

The problem with Rio is that because the favelas are close to nice neighborhoods is not unusual to get missed bullets.

If you cut off every state above SP you'll see Brazil's IDH and per capita GDP reach eastern/southern euro standards.

This but unironically. And even the shitty areas are miles better than in the 1970s, LATAM had dreadful social indexes 50 years ago and now it has mediocre indexes.

>ha, e agora bolsominions, vão defender o Trumpi sendo que ele deportou BRs no EUA que costumam ser de direita? :brainletchest:

Os caras violaram a lei migratória de lá, se um extrangeiro for se mudar pro Brasil sem tramitar o pedido de residência (que aliás é fácil de conseguir) ele também vai ser deportado. Na cabeça deles não entra que essa situação não tem nada a ver com viés ideológico.

Wouldn't 30k get you a really nice house with land to spare in Brasil?!? I knew a Bolivian guy who worked just abuse the our stronger currency here just so his family could buy up LOTS of land in Bolivia to live like petit aristocracy.

A nice house? No, that's more expensive. It is enough money to start a small business and have a decent life if it goes well though. It's also enough money to buy land to build your house though depending on where you live (real estate in large cities is very expensive), and you can get a mortgage from the bank to build your house then.

The YouTube comment section of this guys interview is filled with Brazilians berating him for that lol. This guy is lower-middle-class but is not some desperate refugee.

How much would a flight and a holiday visa cost? Just do those and overstay no?

His tourist visa application was obviously rejected.

The rejection rate for Brazilians is 11.9% yearly, the American embassy rejects those whose profile is that of potential illegals.

The embassies and consulates always do. I remember before the first time we went for vacations in the US my dad took his tax records and our documentation. We got a 10 year tourist visa easily, it allows you to stay up to 6 months in the US continuously (speaking of which I have to renew it to visit burgerland again in the future).

You can easily clock upper middle class types who want to spent a few weeks on NYC from randos who never left the country before, don't have a current or stable job but magically decided to visit Disney World despite never having the means (they would be spending all of their savings on those plane tickets alone).

One thing about the US tourist visa is that, even as a middle class, your ability to even get one is still directly proportional to how many people are trying to use it to commit fraud

The interview wait times when I helped my GF get one were like 30 days or so, but if you look at countries with rampant fraud issues (India, turkey, Canada) the wait time to even interview at the embassy is like three years. This screws over those upper middle class types tremendously

Geez, in comparison we got ours in less than a month.

Peep the "b2" column on the right

Currently three Canadian embassies are above 600 days and Montreal closed

This is because millions of Indians are using it as a waiting room so they can go illegally look for work to sponsor a real visa

Most Brazilian cities listed average 25-31 days, pretty much what I expected.

Bogota is 700 lmao, I didn't know Colombians had it that rough. And now Trump ordered to shut down applications for them.

Falando sério o pessoal despreza a Pátria a toa. Qualquer país desenvolvido passou por uma fase de corrupção e pobreza. Olha que a pobreza diminuiu bastante nas últimas décadas, até mesmo o interior do RS na época dos meus avós parecia mais o século 19 do que os 1950s
