The question posed is ‘would you rather be alone in the woods with a bear or a man?'
Assuming that you would be alone with a random bear/random man, the odds of the bear wanting to kill you are 100% while the odds of the man wanting to kill you are less than that.
Even if the man would 100% have intent to harm you, you have a much better chance with him than the bear. Unless you got put in the woods with a murder/male feminist Usain Bolt you still have a better chance of outrunning the man.
