TRADING TARDS

It's exactly what it sounds like; I want to make trading card style artworks for prominent dramatards.

Admittedly, I've never fully committed to playing anything like Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon...

I need people who know more about this stuff than I do to help direct how these cards would be formated and what they would say.

Like do we want something text heavy, like a Yu-Gi-Oh card?

Do we want "types" of tards?

I started the brainstorming process with @Lappland months ago, and here's what I came away with:

-houses and holes they interact with should definitely be on the cards

-tards who have notable rivals, enemies or friends should have that written on their card

-items could be a thing, like a card representing different awards, or the autism hat could have its own card, etc.

-other people should contribute art of drama users! I think that would be super fun!

What trading tards are and aren't:

I'll be honest, I'm just in it to sometimes post funny doodles of dramatards that I made based on what I picture when I think of them.

I don't know how involved I'd actually be in the process of designing the cards themselves.

I also don't forsee these being an actual true card game, with a UI on this site, these are more for shits and giggles.

These are just goofy digital cards, not physically printed items

my vision

I'm picturing something like a combination of these two styles; one where there's just the art taking over the whole card with a loose boarder. The other with defined edges and framing, with some text at the bottom.

Text could be a description of said tard. For example:

"Aveann is the founder of rDrama, he's Egyptian, and really really likes Capybaras"

AutoJanny is a helpful bot on WPD AND HERE, rDrama. some people often mistake her for the owner of the site because she does official shit here. thee actual owner is @Aevann, or "carp", or "shit dude" depending on your views of the site. AutoJanny has a profile of the emoji Marseyjanny (), and a flair that states "it's that time of the month" with two uterus emojis () on either side of her flair. this means that she is implying that she is on her period (that's kind of unnecessary, no?). She is not very popular on other sites, but most sites hate a bot that contains the jobs she has acquired onto her. She has the original banner on her profile instead of a custom one.She has a few badges such as:

x693+ shit awards

x4+ marsify awards

x1+ chud award(s)

x2+ zombie bite

and more minor awards as seen on her wall.

some larger awards are things that don't require work. you can see them on her @AutoJanny page.

AutoJanny is a member of /h/anarchy.

she currently has -103,521 coins (yes, negative) and 100 marseybux.

she does not follow nor bloc users. he bio says "pls ping @Aevann if i malfunction". she has many comment on her wall.

She has no views on the people of the site because she is a bot. This also results in AutoJanny not being able to give awards, comment, or ban for no reason. This is the upside of having a bot monitoring the site. she can ban you or spam, which she did to me when i commented "! slots100" (spaced so i don't get banned again)

The downside of her existence is only that she can make minor mistakes in her life. She can ban by mistake (as for "spam"), and the crisis texts from others are long and can be quite annoying for some users.

overall, i enjoy AutoJanny, but sometimes... she can be a little "eh".

!metashit There is no rdrama award that is even comparable in its potential to be abused to the shit award. All others are either: merely cosmetic, positive, or too expensive to practically spam(like the ban, hieroglyphs and grass awards), and all have completely temporary effects. Meanwhile the shit award is extremely cheap (250 coins but practically 150 since it steals 100 DC), and can be effectively used to make sure that an user always has a negative amount of DC(therefore rendering them unable to use the lottershe, grass award and awards in general unless they paypig), and that there is always a price to pay for posting in a hole someone doesn't like for some reason, and all of this just for the low price of the monthly paypig rewards for a couple bucks a month.(with even some to spare for other posts one doesn't like, as can be seen from the Bank Statement of someone who uses all of his in-site currency for shit awards due to the reasons above)

Exhibit A: Since it's creation the majority of posts on /h/soy have been shit awarded and a lot of those that haven't are those made by an alt created specifically to shield users from them: !soyteens

Exhibit B: Seeing that I had obtained a considerable amount of coins due to a stroke of luck and carp's generosity(the MB in the screenshot is unrelated to the issue and was given to me for the creation of ping groups and transferred like that to avoid them getting spent on football betting) @Brevis-Kong, who has been personally upset at me since I opened /h/soy and asked him to stop doing this, first tested to see whether I had a deflector award on and then shit-awarded me more than 100 times. For the last two months he has constantly shit-awarded my posts and comments, always making sure he was using the right amount of them to make sure I was below the 0 DC line.

There is currently no effective way to deal with this; becoming a payping, constantly shit-awarding him back, and asking other soyteens to join in on this, although tempting and doable, is not guaranteed to make him stop. The deflector award is completely ineffective due to its deflection being a moot point as explained earlier and it being pretty expensive and only lasting 10 hours, meaning that all someone as obsessed as him has to do is just wait 10 hours. And as can be seen in an earlier /h/meta thread about this he can't be reasoned into just leaving me alone. Therefore I propose a few ways in which this issue could be fixed.

• Making the Shit Award only effective on users who aren't blocking you. This would leave it pretty much unchanged, and there would still be random in good fun,shit-awardings just now with the fact that you'd have to consider the possibility of being blocked before repeatedly pulling these kinds of stunts on the same users and holes.

• Making the Defclector award so cheap and long lasting that it's an effective tool in preventing this. If the Deflector lasted for, let's say, a few days and costed as much as a shit award, it would be viable and worth it to constantly use it if you know that you're going to be in this circumstance.

• Making the Shit award cosmetic-only again This idea is drastic and doesn't need to be explained further but that's how it used to work previously and there is some support for it.

Exhibit C:

• Adding some sort of anti-shit award that is cheap and long-lasting but only works against shit awards. This is similar to the second idea on the list but without changing the existing prices and balances of the other awards.

• Add some sort of award like the Unpausable one that makes you permanently immune to shit awards

• Something else. In his book on game design Tynan Sylvester makes the point that users are much better as noticing problems than in coming up with solutions to them so maybe there something that would work well that just didn't come to my mind.

Why is it called our drama instead of my drama?

I hope @Brevis-Kong does know that you can block holes and users on rdrama or is this a bait for a seethe response? Regardless maybe the shit award needs to be reworked.

Definitely still a potential seethe magnet since reddit is filled with leftoid subhumans, especially those who complain about gentrification while being part of the problem.

/r/settlersbeingbros - This subreddit was sadly put down very quickly by jannies who failed to comprehend the wholesomeness of Manifest Destiny. The idea of this sub could potentially be revived in another form by some highly intelligent people but i dont have the highest of expectations of dramatards.

/r/brapbarn - A brilliant sub that generated massive amounts of seethe from escaped farm animals. Unfortunately the Reddit AEO committee falsely deemed the industry of brapfarming as unethical and inhumane and thus forced it to shut down.

/r/friendsofbrian - The amount of outrage this sub produced demonstrates how Missing White Woman Syndrome is still very much alive and well in the current year. Maybe not that underrated since it made the news, but this sub had one of my favorite bait posts of all time.
