Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been arrested in Romania over allegations of sexual aggression.

The brothers were detained on Monday night on charges that date back to between 2012 and 2015.

They were handed an arrest warrant issued by Westminster Magistrates Court in London - and an investigation is pending.

Andrew, 37, and Tristan, 35, deny all allegations against them. Their representatives said they were "fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve".

The brothers are facing r*pe and human trafficking charges in Romania, where they live, and had previously been in jail and later under house arrest since they were detained in December 2022.

They were charged alongside two Romanian women who are accused of being part of the alleged organised crime group.

It is alleged all four formed the group in 2021 to commit human trafficking in Romania and other countries - including the US and UK.

Tate won an appeal in August 2023 to be released from house arrest as he awaits trial on a date which has yet to be decided.

The brothers were told they were able to travel anywhere within Romania but could not leave the country.

Read more: Who is Andrew Tate?

In January, a Romanian court also overurned a decision to seize Tate's assets, which saw him regain access to his supercars, properties and designer watches.

Prosecutors said in January last year that they had seized 15 luxury vehicles and more than 10 properties and homes belonging to the suspects to prevent the assets from being sold or hidden.

Fourteen designers watches, two ingots - blocks of usually precious metal - and cash, were also confiscated, with authorities saying at the time the seized property was worth €3.6m (£3.12m).

Tate, a former kickboxer and Big Brother contestant, gained millions of fans on social media in recent years after styling himself as the "king of toxic masculinity".

He has 8.9 million followers on X, formerly Twitter, but has been banned on several other platforms including TikTok for his misogynistic views.

An Albuquerque sophomore was seriously and permanently injured in 2022 after a former Volcano Vista High School teacher brought two swords to class and encouraged students to fight with them, a lawsuit alleges.

Identified only as a 16-year-old sophomore at the time, the student injured in the incident still suffers from physical and mental scars, said plaintiff's attorney Jessica Hernandez.

“Parents, when they send their kids to school, they think, ‘The school going to take care of my kid during the day until my child comes back to me,'” she said. “And the last thing you expect as a parent for the teacher to be the one that puts this deadly weapon directly into a child's hands.”

The suit filed in 2nd Judicial District Court on Friday alleges teacher Loviata Mitchell — and Albuquerque Public Schools — violated the sophomore's constitutional rights.

It also alleges negligence by them, as well as by Volcano Vista assistant principal Manuel Alzaga for a report he wrote after the incident. The suit seeks undetermined damages and attorney fees.

APS spokeswoman Monica Armenta said Mitchell was terminated in July 2022, though she still appears to have her teaching license, according to an online state Public Education Department database.

In response to questions about the incident, Armenta said the district does not comment on pending litigation. An attorney representing the district could not immediately be reached for comment.

Roxie De Santiago, an attorney for Mitchell, also said her client could not comment on the suit because it was pending, but wrote in an email that “generally, we believe in the justice system and trust (that) the truth of this situation will be revealed through that process.”

Alzaga still listed as working at the school on its website. He also could not immediately be reached for comment.

‘I'm in trouble'

During a morning chemistry class in May 2022, Mitchell announced she had a “surprise” for her students, according to the suit.

She pulled out two swords — one a katana, and the other a rapier-style sword — that the suit said she'd snuck into the West Side Albuquerque school. She told her students they were props, and had them rearrange their desks into a ring to fight in.

Students pulled out their phones and recorded as a pair of their classmates dueled with the swords, the metal clinking as they parried and jabbed at each other in the makeshift sparring ring while a timer on a TV monitor ticked down.

But the next duel turned bloody, according to the suit. After being chosen by Mitchell to fight another student, the suit said, the sophomore's opponent cut her with the katana, opening a deep gash across her right hand, wrist and forearm. She started bleeding profusely.

“I'm in trouble,” Mitchell said right after the sophomore was cut, according to the suit. She then told the students to delete any video recordings they'd taken and to not tell anyone about what happened.

While the sophomore bled, the suit said Mitchell tried to call the school health office, but could not figure out how. The sophomore “began to feel nauseous and weak from blood loss,” prompting another student to run to the health office.

A health assistant came to the classroom and provided the sophomore first aid and called 911. About half an hour elapsed before anyone called first responders, the suit says.

In a student accident report after the incident, according to the suit, Alzaga said Mitchell had “brought a ‘prop' to school to show a lesson on metal and melding,” and that a student accidentally cut the other student with the prop sword.

Alzaga further noted the injury did not violate school rules.

When asked if Mitchell violated either school or district policy, Armenta again replied only that the district does not comment on pending litigation.

Citing APS' employee handbook, the suit says the district flatly prohibits anyone from bringing guns, knives or other weapons to school unless authorized to do so.

Since the incident, the now 17-year-old teen who was injured has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and still faces lingering pain in her hand and wrist, which suffered permanent damage, according to the suit.

She also struggles with basic tasks, including writing, preparing food and buttoning buttons.

“This injury has changed her entire life,” Hernandez said. “... As a 16-year-old, when you get hurt like this, and all of a sudden you can't do the same things that you used to do — it's really discouraging. It's depressing. It's olating.”

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is warning about "unknown and unknowable long-term risks" it says are inherent to "gender-affirming care" in minors, adding that the consequences of gender transition surgery are irreversible.

"Gender-affirming" procedures include so-called puberty blockers, s*x hormones, and surgery, such as castration, penectomy, and mastectomy, the nonpartisan professional association noted in its Feb. 20 official statement outlining its stance on "gender-affirming care" for children.

The AAPS warns that gender transition procedures are "generally irreversible and have a high probability of causing sterilization." The procedures also "commit a patient to a lifelong need for medical, surgical, and psychological care."

Such procedures in minors also are medically and ethically contraindicated due to a lack of informed consent, the AAPS stated.

"Physicians and medical professionals should refuse to be mandated or coerced to participate in procedures to which they have ethical or scientific objections or which they believe would harm a patient."

Founded in 1943, the organization represents doctors in all specialties nationwide and seeks to preserve the practice of private medicine. Over the years, the group has been a strong proponent of patient autonomy and freedom of discourse in medicine.

Biological S*x Can't Be Changed: AAPS

The association maintains that while medical, surgical, and other methods can be used to alter the physical appearance of a person's body, they can't change a person's biological s*x.

Biological s*x is determined at conception by genotype, and with the exception of rare circumstances that could result in ambiguous genitalia, biological s*x is "indeed obvious" and is correctly identified at birth, the AAPS states.

Biological s*x, or genotype, then determines the role of a person in reproduction.

"Reproduction requires a male gamete (sperm), which can only be produced by a person of XY genotype, and a female gamete (egg), which can only be produced by a person of XX genotype," the group states. "Primordial germ cells are present at birth."

In recent months, some states have attempted to curtail or outlaw gender-related procedures for minors, while others are seeking to ensure access to gender-altering hormones and surgeries.

The governor of Mississippi said on Feb. 21 he will sign a ban on "gender-affirming care" that's been approved by state lawmakers, joining governors in Utah and South Dakota. Meanwhile, judges have temporarily blocked similar laws in Arkansas and Alabama.

Gender Fluidity Is 'Controversial': AAPS

The group states, "The construct of gender fluidity in the current cultural discourse is controversial."

"There has been an explosive increase in persons who identify with the construct of gender different from s*x, at an age where identity is easily malleable and brain development is not fully concluded," part of the AAPS statement reads.

"Conflicting motivations have led to a growing industry dedicated to providing 'gender-affirming' procedures," the statement reads.

Separately, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) have in recent years issued statements in support of "gender-affirming care."

Both groups assert that gender transition procedures can improve a gender dysphoric person's mental health and result in lower rates of suicide, and that forgoing such care puts the patient at higher risk of anxiety, stress, substance abuse, and suicide.

But the groups' statements don't acknowledge that some gender transition procedures render the individual highly unlikely to be able to reproduce or make other changes that are irreversible.

Advocacy Group Pushes for Safe Health Care

The AAPS's public statement comes two days after an advocacy group for people with gender dysphoria issued an open letter directed at more than 30 medical organizations, asking them to ensure health care that's free of influence from politics and activists who shut down those who seek to research gender dysphoria.

"For the safety and well-being of all trans and gender dysphoric people, we need our healthcare, especially our mental healthcare, disentangled from a well-meaning yet misappropriated academic philosophy," the Gender Dysphoria Alliance (GDA) said in its letter.

Founded in 2021, GDA includes researchers, mental health professionals, and laypersons, some of whom are transgender. The group also includes people who have disavowed their former transgender identity.

"As people living with Gender Dysphoria, we want competent, evidence-based care. This includes mental health care and thorough psychosocial assessment prior to any medicalization, at any age," the group says in their letter.

"What we are advocating for is not conversion therapy, despite what many trans activists often claim. According to the evolving standard for treating Gender Dysphoria, anything other than immediate access to hormone therapy and surgeries is misconstrued as conversion therapy," the group added. "This is not only an absurd view of psychosocial evaluations, it's causing unnecessary harm to young, vulnerable people."

Conversion therapy is a term used to refer to efforts to prevent people from identifying as transgender or to prevent them from expressing outwardly as their opposite biological s*x.

The group, known as CSPOA, teaches that elected sheriffs must “protect their citizens from the overreach of an out-of-control federal government” by refusing to enforce any law they deem unconstitutional or “unjust.”

>“The safest way to actually achieve that is to have local law enforcement understand that they have no obligation to enforce such laws,” Mack said in an interview. “They're not laws at all anyway. If they're unjust laws, they are laws of tyranny.”

>“They have no authority, not under their state constitutions or implementing statutes to decide what's constitutional and what's not constitutional. That's what courts have the authority to do, not sheriffs,” McCord said.

:marseyhappening: breaking WSJ: Bill to both to crack down on illegals at border AND give ukraine + isreal bux to be voted on in US Senate

Total rightoid victory coming?

All of those people whining on Reddit and Twitter - literally wall-to-wall whining by slavs on Twitter and Redditors for 2 months straight - about Republicans abandoning Ukraine, when this was obviously just a delay to help fix the US border, not just spend everything rescuing some slav one.

TLDR:

  • $118.2 billion overall in funds for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan

  • would establish a new asylum process at the border to deliver fast case resolutions and swift deportations for migrants who don't qualify. It also would set a higher bar for those claims and establish new limits on the number of immigrants claiming asylum to prevent the system from getting overwhelmed

WSJ article:

https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/border-deal-to-cut-illegal-immigration-is-released-after-months-of-talks-26a66211

https://archive.is/8JtuK#selection-5630.0-5630.1

WASHINGTON—The Senate released Sunday the long-awaited details of a sprawling bipartisan bill designed to both sharply cut down on illegal border crossings and bolster embattled allies Ukraine and Israel, giving proponents just days to build support for the package and overcome growing hostility from some Republicans.

The deal, which took months to negotiate and is set to get an initial vote in the Senate as soon as Wednesday, would establish a new asylum process at the border to deliver fast case resolutions and swift deportations for migrants who don't qualify. It also would set a higher bar for those claims and establish new limits on the number of immigrants claiming asylum to prevent the system from getting overwhelmed.

On the spending side, the bill will provide $118.2 billion overall in funds for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan as well as for U.S. border changes and humanitarian aid in war zones. About half—around $60 billion—is related to Ukraine, with $14.1 billion for Israel security assistance and about $20 billion to implement the new border policies.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) called the release of the deal a “monumental step towards strengthening America's national security abroad and along our borders.”

Migrants seeking asylum line up as they await processing in a makeshift campsite after crossing the border between Mexico and the U.S. this month. Photo: Gregory Bull/Associated Press

The release of the deal text marks a critical step in trying to pass the complex measure overhauling border law and reasserting America's strength overseas. Curtailing illegal immigration has long been a top GOP priority, but it has increasingly become a concern of Democrats too, with border arrests surging to record levels and mayors of large cities pleading for federal help. The deal's provisions largely reflect Republican priorities, and exclude longtime Democratic demands such as a pathway to citizenship for so-called Dreamers brought to the country as children.

The bill faces an uphill fight to passage, given the decades of partisan wrangling over the issue and the approach of the fall elections.

President Biden, who is running for re-election, has thrown his support behind the emerging deal, saying he would embrace new powers to shut down the border if needed. Still, the prospects for the bill are uncertain. Even though Republicans initially pushed for the talks, former President Donald Trump, the GOP front-runner for the 2024 nomination, has blasted the prospect of any compromise. Some congressional Republicans including Speaker Mike Johnson (R., La.) have indicated they would be unlikely to support the emerging deal but wanted to see the actual text rather than relying on leaks and rumors.

The bill's first test will come in the Democratic-run Senate this week. While most Democrats in the 51-49 chamber are expected to support the proposal, Senate Republicans have indicated that they would only provide the votes to clear the required 60-vote hurdle to proceed if more than half the Senate GOP conference—or 25 members—commit to voting “yes.” If it does pass the Senate, it heads to the House, where Johnson said Saturday he has no plans to quickly take up the bill, instead giving priority to a separate measure that includes funding for Israel but nothing else.

Article : Train carrying hazardous materials derails in Michigan

DETROIT, Mich. — A train carrying hazardous materials derailed in Michigan Thursday morning.

At least six cars were off the tracks in Van Buren Township, which is about 30 miles southwest of Detroit.

Officials say only one of the train cars was carrying hazardous materials, and it's reportedly showing no sign of leaking or damage.

The local fire department says the derailment does not currently pose a danger to the public.

This is just the latest train derailment to fuel anxiety across the country. People in East Palestine, Ohio, say animals are dying and people are getting sick after a train derailment led to a chemical spill.

The chief of the Environmental Protection Agency is scheduled to visit with residents of East Palestine on Thursday to address their concerns.

On Feb. 10 the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency released information on water quality sampling for surface water and said it showed "very low levels of two contaminants, butyl acylate and ethyl hexyl acrylate" in an area called Leslie Run, and said it would dissipate quickly.

Not sure how legit it is coz i got it from a friend but found it funny enough so im sharing

A Johns Hopkins anesthesiologist and her spouse, a doctor and major in the U.S. Army, were federally indicted for attempting to provide medical information about members of the military to the Russian government.

Anna Gabrielian and Jamie Lee Henry, who had a secret security clearance as a doctor at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, communicated and met several times with an undercover FBI agent who they believed was from the Russian embassy, offering sensitive medical information on military members and their families, the indictment alleges.

Gabrielian, 36, touted the Rockville couple’s access to the health records as “a useful long-term weapon.”

During an initial Aug. 17 meeting in a Baltimore hotel room, Gabrielian told the agent “she was motivated by patriotism toward Russia to provide any assistance she could to Russia, even if it meant being fired or going to jail.”

Her spouse had access not just to medical information, she said, but insight into how the U.S. military establishes Army hospitals in war conditions and about training the military provided to Ukrainian military personnel. Henry participated in a second meeting later that night.

“My point of view is until the United States actually declares war against Russia, I’m able to help as much as I want,” Henry, 39, told the agent, according to the indictment. “At that point, I’ll have some ethical issues I’ll have to work through.”

“You’ll work through those ethical issues,” Gabrielian replied.

Henry also told the agent she had looked into volunteering to join the Russian Army after the conflict in Ukraine began.

In an Aug. 24 meeting with the agent at a Baltimore hotel room, Gabrielian called Henry a “coward” for being concerned about violating the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA,) a federal law that limits the disclosure of patients’ confidential medical information. She told the person she did not share those concerns because she violated the law “all the time.”

Gabrielian did fear what might happen to her and Henry’s children if she put herself at risk of arrest, demanding that the kids be put on “a nice flight to Turkey to go on vacation” if arrest seemed imminent. “I don’t want to end in jail here with my kids being hostages over my head,” she said, according to the indictment.

Gabrielian is listed as an instructor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at Hopkins, and her profile page says she speaks Russian. Johns Hopkins Medicine did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Henry received attention in 2015 after becoming the first known active-duty Army officer to come out as transgender. A Buzzfeed article from that time said she was also to her knowledge and to the knowledge of LGBT advocates the first and only active duty service member who had changed her name and gender within the United States military.

During an Aug. 31 meeting at a hotel in Gaithersburg, Gabrielian provided the agent with medical information related to the spouse of a person currently employed by the Office of Naval Intelligence, and medical information related to someone only described as a veteran of the Air Force.

“Gabrielian highlighted to the [agent] a medical issue reflected in the records of [the military member’s spouse] that Russia could exploit.,” the indictment says.

During the same meeting, Henry also provided medical information related to five patients at Fort Bragg, including a retired Army officer, a current Department of Defense employee, and spouses of active and deceased Army veterans.

Some clues about the couple’s mindset were revealed earlier last month when Gabrielian told the agent about a 1986 book she instructed Henry to read. It describes the recruitment and training of a Soviet-era Russian spy. “It’s the mentality of sacrificing everything ... and loyalty in you from day one. That’s not something you walked away from.”

The indictment was handed up Wednesday and unsealed Thursday. The pair are charged with conspiracy and wrongful disclosure of individually identifiable health information.

A 26-year-old taxi driver from the Middle East was reported for raping a 14-year-old girl in Sweden -- then he was found hanged in a nature reserve. Now the girl, her boyfriend and three of his brothers are suspected of the very painful murder, which according to the prosecutor had the character of "an execution," Friatider reported.

The events began in February this year when the then 15-year-old girl reported that the taxi driver had r*ped her when she was 14.

On March 26, a taxi was found abandoned, covered in snow and with the taximeter running in a parking lot at the Hjälstaviken nature reserve in Enköping municipality north of Stockholm.

On April 1, the taxi driver was found -- hanging from a tree 500 meters from the car.

The police quickly turned their attention to the now accused young people. All the young people deny the crime except for the girl, who admits that she lured the man to the place -- but only so that he would be beaten.

According to the indictment, the girl lured the taxi driver to the scene of the murder on March 24 and kept him there until the four boys arrived.

The boys had previously bought rope, masking and clothes that were used as aids in the murder, which took place by strangulation and hanging.

According to the indictment, the approach involved a painful death for the taxi driver and the murder had, according to the prosecutor, "the character of an execution".

The day before the murder, the police have found plans to take revenge on the taxi driver in a chat where the girl mentioned that the boyfriend's brothers would meet the male feminist.

"They are going to meet my male feminist. THIHIHI", the girl writes, among other things, in internal messages.

The night before the murder, the girl sent a message to the taxi driver asking him to get vodka and arranged to meet him at the desolate place.

According to the indictment, he was hanged the same day in the solitary nature reserve by the five young people.

After the murder, the girl took a picture of her boyfriend while he was celebrating with a flatbread roll. Later, she sent a message to an acquaintance that her male feminist was dead.
